Step By Step How to Format Review Hard Reset and Soft Reset
Cautions Before The Hard Reset ::

2016 hasn’t started that long ago but we already have some amazing new device on the market. On of them being the newest Leagoo Shark 1 – this 6 inches mobile device some may call a phablet as it is bigger than most similar products out there. Well we have been testing this Chinese device and we already have some opinion. Continue reading if you wish to know whether the Leagoo Shark is worth the money and what we really think of it.
PARAMETERS
First of all, some technical information. Leagoo Shark 1 is 158.6 mm long, 82.6 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick. The size of it we must say is not for everyone – users with smaller palms may find it quite difficult to use the device only in one hand. What’s more, the weight of the Leagoo Shark 1 is pretty big, compared to other devices on the market – it weights 240 gramms (whareas an average Android device produced in 2016 weighs 147 gramms). Some may find the heaviness of Shark 1 hindering, we however don’t mind it – we got used to it after a few times.
The Leagoo Shark 1 comes in three colours which are stunning – twilight blue, starlight silver and champagne. There is something for everybody.
The device is made out of polycarbonate plastic and aluminum alloy (on the sides and on the back). Shark 1 really feels good in the hand and look solid. The buttons are on the right sie of the device (power, volum up and volum down) and there is an additional fingerprint reader on the back of the device (which actually makes it very easy to use). There are no capacitive buttons on the screen – they appear on the screen when you need them which is also quite handy.

SCREEN
As it was mentioned before, this Leagoo device features a 6 inches display – which we can all agree is humongous. It was manufactured by LG in LTPS Technology and has the pixel density of 368 PPI which is also quite impressive. The colours look beautiful with great viewing angles. We enjoyed it a lot when watching some videos or playing games. The brightness of the display is also great (30% brighter than a normal LCD display) – it can automatically adjust itself to the weather/lighting conditions. So you don’t have to worry about using it in bad condtitions. Although the display is brighter, it will actually save more energy (power cosumption should be lower by 20%).

CAMERA
Leagoo Shark 1 is packed with two cameras – the rear camera (13 megapixels) and the front camera (5 megapixels). Let’s start with the first one – once again we are truly impressed. It procuces super high quality pictures and videos in high resolution (1080p high definition). The image quality does completely convince us. The good brightness as well as the decent color reproduction can be seen on the test photos. It has five lenses and f2.0 aperature (which is avarage for these type of device but still good). The pictures taken in bad lighting aren’t the best but are still quite alright and comperable to those taken by other similar mobile phones. The front camera is great for HD video calls. The only downside we see in the working of this camera is the pretty bad LED flash in front which is blue and pictures taken with it don’t look very good. We recommend not using the front camera in bad weather/lighting condtions or use it without the flash.
The features in the camera include: Burst Mode, Face Detection, Digital Zoom, Panorama, Touch Focus, Digital Image Stabilization.

FEATURES
This new Leagoo device is packed with many additional features which intent to simplify the usage of the Shark 1. One of them being the fingerprint reader located in the back of the phone. It takes a while to set it up (for us it took a couple of time to get it right) but when it is finally saved it works great. You are able to unlock your device in just a second (actually 0.39 second) without having to touch the screen. The same goes with protecting some of the applications – you can change the settings to make yourself the only person to enter apps. If you trust someone else you can also add their fingerprint. It is a great and usefull feature.
There are some other features to this great device such as ambient light, great sond system in the earphones and the speaker, motion sensor and many others. What is really worth noting Leaggo Shark 1 as well as others Leagoo’s phone has a lost of features that make your phone smarter and easier to use. With One Hand-Operate, you can change the dial interface into the mode that can simply use by working withone a hand (it would be great if users were able to have this mode also in messaging).
It’s worth to know that you may use Game Mode when you would like to disable Menu and Back keys. HotKnot allows you to transfer and exchange photos and videos Mobile anti-theft is a security feature that can be used to lock the phone or wipe data remotely. The Smart stay feature allows you use the front camera to sense when you are looking at your device and it stops the screen from turning off regardless of the screen timeout setting. You can also make a lot of use of wonderful way to control your phone and make it take various actions by turning on a Smart Gesture. In this device there are a lot more innovations like these, so this phone gives you a lot of new oppurtunities that originally made by Leagoo.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
The operating system is the new Leagoo device is OS v1.2 (Android 5.1 Lollipop). It makes this device very easy to use and all apps should work there perfectly. The internal memory is 16 GB but could be extend to 64 GB in memory SIM card (microSD). The internal storage of Leagoo Shark 1 is below average but there is the possibility of extenstion so that is not something that we worry about. The RAM is 3 GB and the processor is octa core MediaTek MT6753 system on a chip which works very well (its CPU is 1.3 GHz – typical for clock speed). As it comes to sound thanks to AWINiC K6 amplifier the sound capabilities are impresive.
We have a lot of fun tasting diffrent games on this device. So we can definitely say that for all of you gamers out there, gaming on this device is a pure pleasure thanks to the great processor and the amazing graphics – even those intensive 3D games work without any problems.

BATTERY LIFE
Now we’ve come to the best part of the Leagoo Shark 1 – its BATTERY! The capacity is 6300 mAh which is just massive for any kind of mobile device. An average Android device released in 2016 could stand up to 10 hours of talk time whereas this bad boy can stand up to 70 hours of talk time! You all must admit that is super impresive. We are actually blown away. 770 hours of standby time, 25 hours of constant video watching, 49 hours of constant listening to the music. If the great battery capacity wasn’t enough, the manufacturer also added another great feature – the ability fo fully charge the device in less then 3 hours! We have no more words – for us heavy users that is just a dream come true. All smartphones should have such batteries.

TELEPHONE & CALL QUALITY
The phone app is really perfectly organized, making it easy to use. Only three icons are situated in the upper bar: Dialpad (with Outgoing, Incoming and Missed calls) and ALL Contacts. The keypad in the “Telephone” tab is also hard to miss. We did not have problems with interruptions or background noise when making calls using the Leagoo Shark 1.Voices thankfully have a lot of substance through the earpiece, clean and without any distortion.

CONNECTIVITY
No wonders here – the Leagoo Shark 1 has all the connectivity parameters a decent Android device should have. So we have: Bluetooth (4.0), WI-FI, 3G, 4G. We have been testing both the WIFI and the mobile network and they all work without any problems. The only downside could be the lack of the NFC – however we can forgive that 🙂

PACKAGING
The device comes in a plain but very esthetic black box. We can finf here a full equipment inside. We are very impressed to see the following accessories:
- Product Manual and Start Guide,
- MicroUSB Cable and Wall Charger,
- USB OTG cable (This cable allows you to connect USB accessories),
- Headphones (There are good everyday earphones offering good quality sound),
- SIM eject tool (It’s really useful tool that help you open a sim slot),
- Screen Protectors.

SUMMARY
The Leagoo Shark 1 extended our expectations. We were worried that with such a great size of the device, the quality of it will be lower. What a pleasent suprise to see an affordable, great mobile device (a phablet if you wish) with one of the best battery capacity we have seen in years. We are positive that if you like these size of devices, you will love this one!
